We’re not sure if it’s relevant now since the Angry Birds game by Rovio hasn’t been popular since 2010, but we did think the trailer was amusing enough to share. Scheduled for release on May 20th, 2016, The Angry Birds Movie may be Rovio’s last hope in reviving the game.
Rhythm arcade games are some of the best pleasures in life. Dance Dance was cool, right? There’s Rock Band as well. Taiko No Tatsujin is a fine example of such. If you haven’t heard of it yet, it’s a drumming game that’s so fun, it sometimes makes its players go insane in a way that’s both hilarious and impressive.
A lot of you probably grew up on “Dance Dance Revolution,” a video game that got even non-dancers to bust their moves back in the day. Well, the “revolution” is still alive and well in the hearts, minds, and feet of many, including this dude who goes insane on the arcade game’s dance pads.
Artist Michael B. Myers Jr. created Star Wars pixel posters. The characters are rendered with a low pixel density and look like they came out of a video game. Wouldn’t it be a treat to see these animated in Star Wars scenes? Watch as Han shot first in pixelated glory!
Using a form he calls “hard-edge geometry,” New York artist Adam Lister combines soft-hued watercolors with pixelated, block-like 8-bit illustrations. The resulting character depictions lend a whole lot of old school video game attitude to a traditional painting form.
