There is a beauty to contrast. When light and dark come together to highlight the shapes and lines that make up the whole. The work of Kim Thue has this contrast. The photographer is originally from a tiny Danish town called Grindsted that sits on the moors of Jutland. He eventually moved to the UK and studied at Brighton University in Editorial Photography. Kim’s projects have taken him to places such as China, Greenland and Sierra Leone. His pictures capture the intensity of the people living in such places. Raw and gritty and powerful at the same time.
