A Kaleidoscope of Colors in Mandala Art Installations

Netherlands-based artist Suzan Drummen builds large mandala-type art installations using an array of beautiful and shiny objects giving each one incredible texture and a three-dimensional effect. Her intricate designs are unbelievably stunning from afar athough her goal is to visually challenge the viewer to the point of disorientation as they get closer to inspect the details of her work. Her latest project features two “oriental rugs” with one looking like it’s slowly creeping up the wall alluding to the 3D illusion of the piece while others seem to have blanketed willing participants giving life-like qualities to the kaleidoscopic installations.
