Amazing Artist Creates Miniature Ceramics by Hand

Pottery is a beautiful, yet challenging, art form, as it demands absolute meticulousness from the artist. With that said, even the larger and more conventional pottery pieces are by no means easy to build. But when you create ceramics that’s roughly the size of a penny, then the degree of difficulty is upped tenfold. It’s that kind of pottery that artist Jon Almeda is fond of. He relates that constructing small-scale ceramics has been a meditative activity for him since it requires copious amounts of focus. Almeda uses a custom-designed, motorized curio wheel to achieve the level of precision necessary to realize his works.
