Artist Brings the Rainbow to The Pearl-Qatar

Adam Kalinowski drops a collection of vividly-hued sand providing a burst of color in the middle of The Pearl-Qatar, an artificial island in Doha, Qatar. Looking too pretty to be disturbed, the Polish artist created ‘The Dream City‘ in hopes of spurring exploration through play and to encourage people to simply take part in the sensory experience of walking barefoot around the dynamic art piece. The interactive art installation is made up of varying levels of plywood boxes holding 30 tons of brightly-colored sand that makes for a beautiful layered sculpture set against the muted backdrop of shops and high-rises.
