Bees Create Honeycomb Wrapped Sculptures

Bees’ honeycombs are a work of art in their own right, but artist Aganetha Dyck doesn’t just admire these intricate treasures—she adds to them. Or is it the bees adding to Dyck’s porcelain figurines? Dyck leaves the objects in specially designed apiaries until they are slowly transformed with the bees’ wax honeycomb. The interweaving of what is manmade and what is bee-made is both lovely and unexpected.
