Ceramics Go Under the Knife

UK-based artist Beccy Ridsdel shows us another side of ceramics by creating delicate bone China plates and cups that are surgically manipulated to reveal other layers. Underneath the pristine exterior, we see more elaborately painted China. By including the surgical tools at work, Ridsdel leaves the viewer wondering what greatness is yet to be revealed.
