Holiday Hut Is Built To Move When Tides Erode

Located on New Zealand’s beautiful white sandy beaches on the Coromandel Peninsula, Crosson Clarke Carnachan Architects fulfilled the requirements for a moveable home and designed an elegant hut on wooden sleds. The hut can literally close up and backup from the coastal erosion zone across the beach and onto a barge. Made to accommodate a family of five, the simply designed beach retreat measures a mere 40 square meters.
