How to Get Drunk Without Drinking

Bompas & Parr create an adventure for the senses with recently opened Alcoholic Architecture, a roomful of cocktail-laden mist made extremely saturated with a humidifier. Outfitted with ponchos and 50 minutes on hand, guests are invited to breathe in a 1 to 3 ratio of fine spirits and mixer inside the ‘walk-in cloud bar’ set at an astounding 140% humidity. By circumventing the liver and absorbing the alcohol through the pores and eyeballs, the effect is felt faster thereby minimizing the amount and calories one has to ingest. For those who prefer to drink the old-fashioned way, themed cocktails created by monks such as Chartreuse, Benedictine, and Trappist beer among others can be purchased on site thanks to Architecture’s convenient location beside one of UK’s earliest Gothic cathedral and atop a previous ancient monastery. To those who want to double-dip, the room welcomes visitors who prefer to have their drink on hand as well as through the cloud.
