Japan Creates the WalkCar, the Next Best Thing Next to a Hoverboard

Japanese tech company Cocoa Motors unveils WalkCar, combining the mobility of the Segway and the portability of the skateboard to create a product featuring the best of both worlds. Dubbed as ‘the world’s smallest electric vehicle,’ the laptop-looking device is activated simply by stepping on it, maneuvers on cue according to which way the user’s body is leaning, and stops when the rider steps off, making its operation practically foolproof. The WalkCar can travel up to 7 mph on a rechargeable battery and with the highly desirable feature of not having to exert any effort to work it, we predict the approximately $800 price tag is a small price to pay in getting somewhere in time minus the sweat-laden work clothes. Pre-orders start in October.
