Painted Facades Inject Life to Blah Buildings

Patrick Commecy sees the potential of an otherwise boring and sometimes ugly facade and transforms it to a hustling, bustling scene full of life. The French artist goes around France with a team of talented muralists to resuscitate bare walls on buildings. The group completely transforms the look and feel of the whole neighborhood by adding windows, people, and even stairways to trick the eyes to seeing a more expansive space. The brilliance is such that they include well-known and influential figures of the town that the mural is in, thus further strengthening the ties of the building to the community it’s in.
