Photographer Captures the Aging Beauty of Man’s Best Friend

Amanda Jones captures the inevitable aging of man’s best friend in a beautiful book of black and white portraits in ‘Dog Years.’ The Massachusetts-based photographer has been photographing dogs for over 20 years and was inspired by her own long-haired dachsund’s, Lily, own transformation over the years. Capturing the lives of 30 dogs across their years, the unmistakable signs of aging show prominently through the eyes, hair, and demeanor of the canines whose photographs make for a striking and heartrending series that is sure to tug at your heart strings.
