Stones Reimagined by Hiroshi Ito

Stones take on a life of their own in the hands of stonemason Hiroshi Ito. The Japanese artist spent some time working with metal before turning to an unforgiving medium for his new creative outlet. Ito draws inspiration from stones he finds in river banks and turns it into unexpectedly playful sculptures. His surrealistic approach and manipulation of a rigid material makes for a one of a kind collection. Our favorite is the smiling Stonehenge impersonator.
