The Uncomfortable Project by Katerina Kamprani

Katerina Kamprani challenges us to look at everyday household items and reexamine how truly useful they are with “The Uncomfortable Project.” Now take a look at how she redesigned the same objects and ask yourselves “What if?” The answer that comes to mind would be inefficient, impractical and most importantly, useless. The architect and 3d modeler based in Athens posts the questions, “Vindictive and nasty? Or a helpful study of everyday objects?” The theoretical look at how an item is rendered useless with a twist of a spout, the turn of a handle, or a simple cutout begs us to thank our lucky stars that we live in a world where absolute practicality leads to thoughtful designs.
