Thrill Seekers Build Suspended Web 400 feet Above Desert

What do you get when highliners and BASE jumpers have a meeting of the minds? A heart-pounding, insanely sick contraption that only a group of thrill-seeking junkies would have thought of. Under the leadership of Andy Lewis, 50 people assembled a web using cords totaling 14,000 feet in length and suspended it 400 feet above the desert floor of Moab, Utah. The Mothership Space Net Penthouse welcomed highliners through any of the five lines connecting it to the mountains while BASE jumpers donning wingsuits were dropped off by their paragliding buddies. The giant hole in the middle of the web enabled BASE jumpers to drop off from the elevated hangout, thus rounding out the ultimate extreme penthouse experience.
