Used Skateboards Turned Into Rad Guitars

Nick Pourfard launched San Francisco-based Prisma Guitars out of an idea born out of his passion for music and skateboarding. The industrial design student handcrafts each colorful guitar out of used and broken skateboards from donations, shops, and distributors. Created from anywhere between 4 to 50 skateboards, the self-taught woodworker admits that working with hard rock maple veneers, the material skateboards are made with, is challenging but the end results with each unique creation have been rewarding. Guitars start at $2300 and can be purchased straight from his site along with accessories such as picks, pickups, and guitar straps.
