A Poignant Series About Lost Love

Peyton Fulford photographs messages of love and private hurts in a poignant series called ‘Abandoned Love.’ Via Tumblr, the Georgia-based photographer asked the public to share their private messages regarding heartbreak based on texts, diary entries, and emails. She then transforms the emotion-laden words into banners and hangs them across abandoned structures placing the rawness of it all in a completely and unexpected different context. According to her, “With this project, I wanted to materialize a private moment by sharing it publicly. I think it is interesting to transform the intangibility of the internet into a tangible creation that is viewable not only online but also in the real world.”
