Anamorphic Skull Installation Bids Farewell to Outdated Media

As an ode to his skull-a-day project which brought him back to his creative calling, Noah Scalin‘s latest art installation at Wichita State University in Kansas is an anamorphic skull created with newspapers. Though not particularly planned, the installation came at a perfect time as word came around that the local newspaper will no longer be in print and will soon be switched to a digital format. Aptly named ‘Dead Media 5,’ the project is part of the Dead Media series where Scalin uses outdated media such as CD’s, VHS tapes, and records to create site-specific anamorphic skull installations.
