Andreas Preis Unleashes the Snow Beasts

Urban artist, designer and illustrator Andreas Preis showed off his amazing talent at the Burton European Open in Laax with some hand-crafted illustrations on a MINI Paceman and Burton snowboards. The event is the only Open Snowboarding Event in Europe and being a big fan of the sport, this was a perfect collaboration between the Berlin-based artist and MINI/Burton Snowboards. Preis brought his creative game to dress a blank matte MINI Paceman with what he referred to as Snow Beasts. The five beasts each represent a valued quality of snow athletes including the lynx for gracefulness, eagle for vision, ibex for ambition, wolf for teamwork, and owl for wisdom. According to Preis, “Snowboarders move with grace, ambition, vision and wisdom and have the most fun when they’re on a team. These technical and aesthetic qualities of SNOW BEASTS are what I wanted to express on the MINI.” The Burton snowboards also reflect the five beasts and some lucky souls went home with their very own during an on-site and online giveaway.
