Animals in the Jungle See Their Reflections for the First Time

We’re not sure if this would be considered animal cruelty or a form of animal enrichment but whichever camp you fall in, the reactions of these exotic animals are sure to be eye-opening. Xavier Hubert Brierre wanted to explore just how animals in the wild would react to seeing their reflection for the very first time so he traveled to Gabon in West Africa to find out. Posting several mirrors around the jungle and surrounding them with cameras, the French photographer captures the varied reactions of several wild beasts from being completely surprised to utter indifference.
