Animated Holograms Play and Interact With Piano Keys

To this day, those self-playing pianos at fancy hotels continue to fascinate us but after seeing “Andante” by MIT’s Tangible Media Group, our expectations have definitely risen. Led by Professor Hiroshi Ishii, the team created a group of playful holograms that walk, hop, and jump on piano keys whilst also interacting with each other. Apart from the entertaining visuals, there is a message behind the whimsical display. The project was created to support the belief that music transcends well beyond the ears and is ultimately rooted in the body.
