Artist Illustrates Female Beauty

Ever since she was a child, Paula Bonet’s passion has always been in creating pictures. Originally a painter by profession, she has since switched to using pens and watercolors in order to easily add text to her images. She says that most of illustrations are of herself and though it is mostly in black and white, she incorporates feminine touches here and there such as rosy cheeks, flowers, and pastel colors. The doll-like faces of each female subject lends to Bonet’s preference in drawing the female face: “I am attracted to big eyes and sweet faces, but I like to find beauty in every face.” Her work spans many medias from music albums to book illustrations and her murals have graced the walls of restaurants, hotels, and shops along with brands such as Nike, Médicos Sin Fronteras and Absolut Vodka. Her book “What to do when THE END appears on the screen” contain 15 illustrations to accompany each story she’s written.
