Artist Recreates the Portraits and Classics with Found Objects

British artist Jane Perkins uses found plastic objects, including buttons, toys and other knick-knacks to construct recreations of classic paintings like the Mona Lisa. Perkins’ roots in textile are apparent in the textured plastic mosaics. The interesting medium shows her devotion to detail and sensibility to reduce, reuse and recycle.
