Artist Uses Makeup for Her Art, with Her Eyelids as the Canvas

Ninety-nine percent of make-up users utilize eyeliners and eye shadows to pretty up their eyes but Israeli makeup artist Tal Peleg isn’t content with having done-up eyes. Using eyeshadows, eyeliners, watercolors, and a slew of tiny brushes, the Israeli visual artist creates remarkable miniature paintings from famous movies to adorable animals on her eyelids. “Makeup is an amazing form of art, and I use it in order to make my eye tell a story. I don’t just paint on the eye, but try to use the shape of the eye and its natural curves as part of the illustration in a creative way,” she said. Paleg adds that while this art form takes a lot of time and patience, she finds the process satisfying.
