Barbie’s Instagram is so Much Cooler Than Yours

Barbie gets a preppy makeover and gets in on the globe-trotting trend with the Instagram account Socality Barbie. The series was created by an anonymous Oregon-based wedding photographer who decided to poke fun at people hashtagging #liveauthentic and #socality on their images but yet posts the same kind of images as the next person and even captions it the same way. The series is a satirical look at how the more people try to stand out, the more they tend to look the same and to explain her growing legion of followers (currently set at over half a million), the photographer explains “I think it’s because she’s so relatable. Either your Instagram looks just like hers or you know at least one person whose Instagram does.”
