Blooming Flowers Add a Whimsical Touch to Busy Square

HQ Architects built gigantic self-inflating flowers in the middle of a busy city in Jerusalem that will make anyone feel like Alice in Wonderland. Set in Vallero Square and equipped with motion sensors, the nine by nine meter flowers expand and bloom when someone approaches or when a tram arrives providing instant shade to passersby and tram-riders alike. Entitled ‘Warde,’ the flowers injects a bit of lightheartedness to the everyday hustle and bustle of the city while providing practical use by offering a respite from the unforgiving sun.
