Century-Old Church in Spain Turned Into Skate Park

A group known as the ‘Church Brigade’ repurposes a century-old church in Llanera, Asturias into an awesome skate park making the pulpit as the DJ space and a lounge area complete with plush seating. The Church of Santa Barbara was originally designed by Asturian architect Manuel del Busto in 1912 but has been abandoned and neglected for quite some time before it was turned into Kaos Temple. With some crowdfunding support and sponsorship from Red Bull, the Church Brigade has given new life to the once crumbling structure, even hiring artist Okuda San Miguel to create a modern take on the Sistine Chapel by adorning the walls and ceilings with some impressive psychedlic murals.
