Chinese Fashion: Teens Are Sporting Sprouts on their Heads

There’s a new trend in China that has, well, sprouted from out of nowhere and is now growing: teens sporting sprout headwear. The clipping of sprouts on hair started a few months ago, and it seemed to serve as a symbol of protest against the decline of greenery in urban environments. Now that the fad has really taken off, this kind of fashion branched out and now includes a wider variety of flora and vegetation such as sunflowers, lavender, chrysanthemums, mushrooms, cherries, and gourds.
