Classic Greco-Roman Sculptures Turned Into Action Figures

The people of the Renaissance period never had superhero action figures but if they did, we bet they would liken them to one of their perfectly chiseled statues. Table Museum rolls out these fun Classical Greco-Roman action figures that go from their infamous stances to one that is completely off the wall thanks to the art of figma, the technique of constructing action figures with an emphasis on giving them life-like mobility based on several movable parts. Equipped with detachable limbs and complete freedom, characters like Michelangelo’s “David” and Alexandros of Antioch’s “Venus de Milo,” and Auguste Rodin’s “The Thinker” hold naked poses so believable that it looks like these serious sculptures are finally having a bit of fun. Sadly, the limited edition 6″ plastic action figures is only for sale in Japan with orders shipping out starting May of 2016.
