Coins Turned Into Pop Culture Art

The Frankfurt-based Brazilian artist turns traditional coins into pop culture art with some well-placed brushstrokes in the series ‘Tales You Lose.’ Turning historical figures into some of our favorite characters easily turns the miniature portraits into something personal and quite a contrast to the mass-produced object they were painted on.
