Colorful Crayon Carvings by Diem Chau

Diem Chau uses common Crayola crayons for her intricately craved alphabet. Her “Northwest Natives Alphabet Set” showcases 52 carvings—26 are the letters and the other 26 are corresponding words that begin with each letter. The work is detailed and delicate and somewhat reminiscent of totem poles.
