Colorized X-Ray Results of Nature

Many artists attempt to put nature under a microscope, but few actually X-ray it. Dutch artist and physicist Arie van’t Riet creates “Bioramas” of natural scenes of insects and animals, then digitizes and colors the black and white results in Photoshop. Most of his subjects are dead when he X-rays them, so he doesn’t expose them to radiation and he has the freedom to create the exact scene for the story he wants to tell.
