Darker Reboot of Our Favorite Childhood Characters

We’re no strangers to Hollywood remakes with a modern twist of childhood characters and fairy tales like Alice in Wonderland, Snow White, and Hansel & Gretel. But we’re sure French illustrator Sylvain Sarrailh’s recent work called “BadAss” will surprise you. In this series, Sylvain finds the suffering and violence in some of our favorites childhood characters and amplifies it. In this remake, Bambi impales cuddly forest creatures with his antlers, Winnie the Pooh isn’t a cuddly bear anymore but a vicious maneater, and Barbie channels the movie Kill Bill in the decapitation of Ken. We’ll never look at our favorite childhood characters the same way again.
