David Trubridge Lights Up New Zealand’s Redwoods Forest

As part of New Zealand’s first design-led tourism experience, David Trubridge collaborated with Redwoods Treewalk Rotorua to create Redwoods Nightlights, a collection of light sculptures illuminating one of New Zealand’s magnificent forests. Known for his environmentally responsible design, Trubridge and his team assembled each wooden sculpture in his studio, with some measuring up to 8 feet tall, before suspending them around bridges making up a number of treewalks. Turbridge’s is just one of the many spectacular light displays surrounding the half a kilometer treewalk among Rotorua’s gentle giants starting December 22, 2016.
