Disney Characters in Grim Situations

Jeff Hong’s Tumblog series “Unhappily Ever After” strips Disney personalities from their fairytale worlds and places them in hauntingly real-life situations. What sets the storyboard animator’s idea apart from other Disney remakes is the preservation of the characters from the original movie. He simply placed them in the type of reality that they would face if they were living in our world. The images are shocking, sinister, and too real for those used to seeing nothing but happy endings for the magical characters. From Cinderella with her tattered dress in a dark alley to Ariel struggling from an oil spill, reality might prove to be too much for our beloved Disney cast.
