Fashion and Paintings Collide in Viktor&Rolf’s Latest Wearable Art Collection

Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren combine art and fashion in quite the unexpected way for their Wearable Art Collection presented at the Haute Couture Autumn/Winter 2015 fashion show in Paris. The Dutch designers who founded the fashion house Viktor&Rolf dismounted broken picture frames off the wall filled with images by Dutch golden age painters and draped them over their models right on the catwalk and in front of the audience. Going from blank canvases and subtle lines to more extravagant hems and colorful paintings, the models are transformed into walking exhibits with each piece of living artwork showcasing the duos’ incredibly artistic and creative insights for their fabulous new collection.
