Flying Baby Shows Down Syndrome Is Not Going to Hold Him Down

Alan Lawrence captures his son William seemingly floating in midair to raise awareness about Down Syndrome in the series ‘Will Can Fly.’ The Utah-based art director takes pictures of William and superimposes him in front of beautiful sceneries and in humorous situations like the one where he is sneaking into the refrigerator with a mischievous look in his face. The father of 5 (soon to be 6) got the idea to give Will the superhero ability after seeing him raise his arms and legs like he was flying while lying on his stomach. The natural, unscripted poses coupled with the whole family’s involvement in the photographs make for a magical series that we hope would continue through Lawrence’s Kickstarter campaign called ‘Bringing Light.’
