Gray Malin Wants to Make Everyday a Getaway

Gray Malin will do anything and go anywhere to get that perfect shot even if it means hanging outside of a helicopter or traveling to Antarctica to raise awareness about climate change. The Los Angeles-based photographer is known for his aerial shots taken all over the globe from above Manhattan to the beaches of Australia. His rise to fame started humbly enough as a vendor at an L.A. flea market where his photographs on the Prada Marfa in his hometown of Texas got the public’s attention. Nowadays, he centers his art around the mantra ‘Make Everyday a Getaway’ so it’s no surprise that much of his photographs are on the playful side. His famous images can now be seen on wearables such as beach shorts and belts and even items like wallpaper and surfboards all available for purchase on his site.
