Gummy Bears Aren’t Just a Delight for Your Taste Buds, but Also for Your Eyes

Great art can come from any source. Yes, even from a bag of gummy bears. Spanish Marta Alonso Yebra and Imanol Calderón Elósegui proved just that after experiencing some sort of epiphany while snacking on Haribo gummies. This led them to create gorgeous light boxes–with the same fruity sweets as ingredients. Initially, the artists wanted to work with glass, but these are expensive and harmful to the environment when melted. The gummy bears proved to be an excellent alternative to be used as gelatinous paint for the light boxes. They probably smell sweeter too.
