There are times we wish we could just close our eyes and make the world go away. Lo and behold, it doesn’t quite work that way but to these kids, it sure seems like it does. For anyone who has had the pleasure of playing hide-and-seek with toddlers, the game goes a little bit like this: we count to ten, open our eyes, and spend another five minutes looking for them while pretending not to see their whole body sticking out of their super-secret hiding spot. Even though they haven’t fully grasped the idea that we can still see them even though they cannot see us, we still have to give these kids an A+ for effort.
