Imagined Paradise: Catherine Nelson’s Enchanting Photo Collages

In her new series, Expedition, Belgium-based photographer Catherine Nelson features hundreds of photographs that are precisely assembled into collages. The digitally “painted” works depict magical paradises, where nature is lush and beautifully realized. Each collage measures 60” tall by up to 115” wide and includes details such as snakes, bats and lizards.
