Incredible Imagery from the 2014 National Geographic Photo Contest

As ever, the National Geographic Traveler award entries produced a photographic feast, the 2014 participants producing images that perfectly reflect the eclectic beauty, vastness and diversity of our world. A photo contest truly like no other, top spot went to the jaw-dropping “The Independence day” by Marko Korosec and his photos of an approaching apocalyptic storm that the best Hollywood special effects firms would be proud of.
