Interactive Musical Swings Enthrall in Montreal
Music as the universal language has once again brought people together by way of swings. The staple of every playground was brought into the streets of Montreal by a Canadian design collective Daily Tou Les Jours. Sandwiched between a music complex and a science center, the swings were installed on a narrow strip of land and acts as the bridge between the two institutions. Each swing generates a musical note from instruments such as a xylophone or a piano and when swung together, beautiful harmonies are generated. The fun part is getting 21 of your friends to swing together to unlock the “secret mode” melody.
