Irma Gruenholz’s Reverse Illustrations

Artist Irma Gruenholz does things the laborious way in her new series of photographs of three-dimensional dioramas. To make them look like illustrations, she creates the clay models in full form and constructs the setting into a fully realized diorama before photographing it. The storybook inspired characters in the pieces have been featured in advertisements and prints around the world.
