John Malkovich Models in Iconic Photographs
John Malkovich is known for his multi-faceted acting skills but who knew the famous actor also possessed a talent for recreating famous faces. Chicago-based Sandro Miller partners with the Hollywood legend for a project entitled “Malkovich, Malkovich, Malkovich: Homage to photographic masters” which puts the actor in the exact same seat of some of the most iconic portraiture of the 20th century. The commercial portrait photographer has been a close friend of the actor’s since the 90s and thought him as the perfect muse to pay tribute to some of the most influential photographers of his career. With the right makeup and right angle, some of the shots taken are seamless such as Malkovich portraying Pablo Picasso and Ernest Hemingway but it’s safe to say that the RED actor does not channel a pretty Marilyn Monroe. “Malkovich, Malkovich, Malkovich” is on display at Chicago’s Catherine Edelman gallery from November 7th through January 31st, 2015.
