Man Travels the Globe in 1 Minute Video

Rick Mereki traveled 38,000 miles in 44 days and condensed it all in a one minute viral video. The short film called “Move” shows actor Andrew Lees walking towards the camera with the backdrop and his clothes seamlessly changing with each different venue. The Aussie filmmaker came up with the idea after being asked to film a series of travel videos by discount travel provider, STA Travel. According to Mereki, it was important to keep symmetry to maintain the fluidity of capturing 200 shots and having to cut over on every 6th frame. “It kind of gave you that real sense of wanderlust, that real sense of wanting to get off your couch and actually go on that amazing trip and experience the world,” Mereki told TODAY show’s Willie Geist.
