Minimalist Posters Want Us To Fess Up To Our Tech Addictions

Genetics and Genomics Ph.D. student Ajit Johnson creates a minimalist series of posters depicting life in today’s technology-dependent society called ‘#This_Generation’ that makes us think twice about our own tech-addictions. Ironically, the idea for the series came to him when the use of his cell phone and computer proved to be taking too much time away from his actual work. His decision to put away his phone for a day made him realize how much more he got done without it: “It was extremely difficult, but very soon I realised, how much more productive I can get and how much time I had which I thought never existed.” His call for people to reassess their dependence on technology through the use of humorous images might actually lead people to spend some much needed quality time without it.
