Alpod is the Mobile Home of the Future

Modernizing mobile homes to catch up with the rest of the 21st century, Aluhouse is calling the eco-friendly Alpod the “Home of the Future.” Designed by Hong Kong’s James Law Cybertecture, a Chinese manufacturer of prefabricated homes, the slick mobile home features an aluminum shell making it strong yet lightweight enough to be easily transported. Featuring a contemporary interior with a light and airy open floor plan, environmental controls, smart LED lighting, and a bevy of luxurious touches you’d expect to see in a posh hotel, Alpod can be used in a multitude of ways from a primary home, an office area, and even as a retail space. Due to its shape, it has the potential to be stackable which could usher in the age of configurable structures and also creates the possibility of taking the entire thing with you wherever you please.
