Police Officer Performs Taylor Swift’s ‘Shake It Off’ in Patrol Car

It turns out that the Dover Police Department in Delaware like to poke fun at each other just as much as the next guy and we have the viral video to prove it. Filing it under the heading ‘Dashcam Confessional,’ Master Cpl. Jeff Davis not only lip syncs to Taylor Swift’s hit song ‘Shake It Off‘ but also does the hand-motions, neck swings and shoulder shakes to complete the hilarious rendition in as much space as his patrol car allowed him to. Davis admits that the performance was planned and with the intention of lighthearted fun: “With all of the negative publicity the police have been getting nationwide and worldwide, I think it was a good thing to show a little, lighter side of the police.” As for how he knows the words to the whole song? He’s a father of four with a 10 year old daughter who is a big fan of the pop singer. Still, we get the feeling this wasn’t his first go around on the catchy tune.
