Recyclable Materials Refashioned Into Sculptures

Makaon proves aluminum cans and cardboard packaging can have life beyond the recycling plant. The Japanese artist creates sculptures out of the pliable materials in the form of video game and animated characters with some pop culture icons thrown in the mix. He collects and sorts his recyclable finds by color in order to fashion miniature replicas as close to the television likeness of the original characters such as Buzz Lightyear, Pikachu, Darth Vader and many others. The attention to detail and the skill at which he crafts the recyclable sculptures are quite extraordinary.
